Teamwork, Now Shanti, Was The Perfect Match For Me |
I Wanted a Big Male Greyhound And Shanti aka Teamwork Was The Perfect Match I decided on a retired track hound after researching online for a sedate dog that can handle the absence of a single owner that works 8 hrs. a day. My previous Wire Fox Terriers were very well behaved, cute and smart but it was hard to 'chill' at the end of a long day. After rehoming them in CO and relocating to CA, I contacted GSGA and got a personable response from Barbara and Stu. So, I did the home inspection, application, etc... I told Stu “I want a big young male”, so when the next haul came in, I was told I had been matched; and could adopt. So, I headed to their house in January of 09 and was mesmerized by the education which now makes me a Meet and Greet staple. I met 'Teamwork' in their garage and wasn't sure what to think-underweight, a little whiney (who wouldn't be after the trip from CO!) and I looked around at all the other beauties and thought- hmmm... is this my dog? Two years later, suffice to say it is a perfect match. Teamwork, now Shanti, is a BIG, beautiful gem! We have the luxury of living in Santa Cruz where there are secured off leash beach and park areas where he thrives! He is a tremendous big brother to my 2nd adopted sight hound, Chai, a mix and a 'stunner' at our monthly Santa Cruz Meet and Greets. He has lots of friends small and large and I am so grateful we where matched! This story was submitted by greyhound owner Jacque and Shanti aka Teamwork
